Montgomery, Al-  The #6 Brenau tennis team faced off today against the #1 and defending NAIA National Champion Auburn Montgomery squad in the championship game of the SSAC tournament and were defeated 5-0.  AUM (18-3) receives the automatic bid to the NAIA National Championships next month in Mobile, Alabama and the Tigers (12-8) will likely receive an at-large bid due to their high national ranking.

AUM swept the doubles matches 8-3, 8-5 and 8-0 and only needed to singles wins to clinch the championship and the Senators will return to try to win a fourth consecutive national title.
