Montgomery, Al- The NAIA #6 Brenau tennis team advanced to the finals of the SSAC Women's Tennis Championships with a convincing 5-2 win over #12 Shorter today in the semifinal round of the tournament. The Tigers will face off with conference nemesis and NAIA #1 and defending National Champion Auburn Montgomery in the finals tomorrow morning.
Brenau won two of the three doubles matches with Kate Mazackova and Lyn See Choo prevailing in #1 doubles and Eline Nagels and Hannah Thompson winning the day in #3 doubles. Choo, Liubov Orlova, Nagels and Jolene Wong picked up the necessary points in singles play to clinch the win. Wong actually won the deciding match to end the contest and send Brenau into the finals tomorrow.
