Mt. Berry, Ga- The undefeated Berry tennis team (8-0) came up with a big 6-3 win over #7 Brenau
yesterday to even the Tigers' season record at 6-6. Brenau once again struggled in the doubles round and went into the singles competition down 0-3. This proved too much to overcome against a strong Vikings team that had been ranked as high as #3 in 2009 when they were still competing in the NAIA. The singles matches were close with the bottom of the Tigers line up with Liuba Orlova, Hannah Thompson and Eline Nagels all recording wins. Thompson was once again involved in a long, hard fought battle against Tomai, whom she had never beaten and, despite giving up a 5-3 in the second set, hung on to take the super tiebreaker 10-8. Orlova and Nagels both recorded strong performances and have won their last four matches in a row.
