Huntington, WV- The Brenau swim team had a tremendous showing at the Appalachian Swimming and Diving Championships held at Marshall University over the weekend by finishing in 5th place out of 14 schools.  Lucianne Kimura broke two individual school records in the 100 Back (1:02.68) and 200 Back (2:12.04) and was also part of three relays records (200 Free, 800 Free and 400 Medley).  She received Brenau's only gold medal in the 100 Back.  Julia Ferreira also broke the school record in the 200 IM and swam on all three record breaking relays. 
 

The 200 Free Relay finished in 3rd place  (Kimura, Ferreira, Mairi Morrison and Ana Galesic) and the 800 FREE RELAY finished 4th in 8:23.24 (Kimura, Galesic, Morrison and Lauren Harville). The 400 MEDLEY RELAY finished in 6th place at 4:14.93 (Kimura, Ferreira, Morrison and Galesic) They recorded a 4TH PLACE in the 200 MEDLEY RELAY 1:57.74 Kimura, Ferreira, Morrison and Galesic) and a 4TH PLACE in the 400 FREE RELAYin  3:48.37  Ferreira, Galesic, Morrison, Kimura)
