Gainesville, GA-  Sophomore catcher Morgan Smith (Covington) has been named Golden Tiger of the Week by the coaching staff at Brenau University for the week of Feb. 8-15.  Smith currently leads the nation in RBI's with 13 and tied the single game school record for RBI with six against Truett McConnell.  She is currently batting .750 and hit her third home run of the season against TMC.  Morgan was an SSAC All Conference selection a year ago as was named Freshman of the Year in the conference.  The defending SSAC Regular Season Champion Tigers are off to a 5-1 start to their season  and will open conference play this weekend at Columbia.
