Gainesville, GA- Brenau University Softball Coach Devon Thomas announced today the addition of Katie Bolin, who will graduate in May from Madison County High School, a AAAA school in Danielsville.  Bolin is a two time Georgia All State Team selection in 2007 and 2009, was most recently selected as the 2009 Region 8AAAA Player of the Year and was a 2009 Georgia Dugout Club All State/All Star Team selection.  She is a three-time 8AAAA All Region selection and was the team MVP for 2008 and 2009.  Bolin was voted the Best Offensive Player in 2007 and was All Northeast Georgia from 2007-2009.  In addition to her numerous athletic honors, Katie has been a four-year Academic All American in high school and is an active member of the Fellowship of Christian Athletes.  "Katie is a great addition to our team.  She is a very athletic catcher that possesses excellent speed on the offensive side of the ball.  She is a very versatile and athletic catcher that is not just a one dimensional player on defense.  She can play infield and outfield as well," added Thomas at the signing.
