Savannah, GA-  Sophomore Morgan Smith (Covington) stroked her second home run as the Brenau softball team pounded out 12 hits in a 10-1 five inning win over Montreat, NC today.  Freshman Tiffany Schandera (Columbus)  went 3-4 with three RBIs and Senior Sarah Applegarth (Gainesville) had two RBI's, going 2-4 from the plate.  Sophomore Ellen Black picked up the win with a two hitter, striking out four. In the second game of the day, Savannah College of Art and Design evened the score with Brenau with a 4-1 win.  Freshman Taylor Kelly (Toccoa), Anna Maness and Black had the only hits and Maness had the RBI for the game.  She also pitched and struck out seven batters, taking the loss.  The Tigers will open the home portion of their season on Tuesday at 5:30 with a doubleheader against Truett McConnell at the Lanier Point Softball Complex.
